Hi Janice!! I have that plant too in my garden and was thinking of putting it up on my blog tomorrow! What a co-incidence!
Anyway, the plant is called Roselle. The taste is a bit similar to Ribena but milder. But Ribena is made from blackcurrant fruits or Ribes nigrum; hence the name Ribena.
