4 night Libra cruise to Phuket

We went on a 4 night cruise to Phuket on board SuperStar Libra recently. It was a last min booking cos I was informed rather late of a travel voucher from my sis which could be used to offset about 1/3 of the cruise payment. We managed to secure a quad cabin with port hole finally !!

This is the first time I board Libra. I've been on SuperStar Virgo & Aquarius!!

Off we go ... ... ...

The boys were amazed by the mega ship !! Their virgin ride ... .....

There are a total of 9 decks. Our cabin is on deck 2. Really very cramp...this was how we let the 2 boys to sleep. We brought down one of the mattress on the upper bed & placed it on the floor. They were so interested on the ladder & kept climbing up & down :(

The yummilicious spread of food from Four Season (left : Western) & Ocean Palace (right : Chinese cuisine) These were only food we had for 2 meals. You can imagine how well fed we were on board throughout the whole trip :):):)

Entertainment from the cruise crew on one of the night at Star Lounge !!
Zac volunteered to participate in one of the game show called the Horse Ride. He is "horse" number 3. I bet on horse 1, 3 & 6.... not my lucky numbers though. Horse number 4 won !! :):)

How can the boys missed playing in the pool there? The water is so ...... saltish ;p

We embark at Phuket (Patong Beach) on the 3rd day & spend about 8 hrs on the island.
The main attraction is the elephant ride at Island Safari. The 4 of us sat on the elephant. You can imagine how strong the mammal is to carry 3 adults (not forgeting the trainer too) & 2 child up & down the challenging terrains *sweat*
The boys also had a jolly good time watching the funny monkey doing its tricks. We also took photos with the cheeky little fellow that lifted its tiny hands for the photo shot. So smart !! :):)

We also went to Phuket's most famous Buddhist temple, Wat Chalong. The boys were amazed by the magnificient sculptures :)

These were the things we brought home. Mostly photos..... haha... they are really precious & expensive photos I should say !! :):)

This marks the last post from me for the year 2008.
May I wish everyone a fruitful year ahead :):)

Amos & his Tigger romper

Do you still remember the Tigger Romper my eldest sis bought for Amos when he was abt 1 year +. The photo was taken on July 2007. He only get to wear it on that very occasion cos it was too warm for him !!

1 year + later ... .... ... (now)
I was packing the boy's cabinet when I saw the romper again.
This is how Amos wore it now (see photo below). LOL !!
He cannot get to button it at the bottom so it became a shirt for him.
He still look very cute with the tigger outfit though.

This is how much my little boy has grown... ... :):):)

Farm Visit : Goat & Frog Farm

We went to the Goat Farm @ Hay Diaries off Lim Chu Kang on Haji holiday. We proceeded with our plans despite the sudden rain in the morning :)

I was surprised that the place was already crowded & limited parking areas !!
We reached there in time to catch the milking process... ...

Fresh milk in the pail...
The milk are sold in 200 & 800 ml bottles.

We bought 200ml x 5 bottles of plain milk (S$10), there are chocolate flavors too.
It came in a nice handy chiller container :)
The boys enjoying the milk...!! For me, I couldn't really tell the difference between cow & goat milk.
I catch a banner there that say :
" Drink Goat Milk" Nature Next Best Thing to Mother's Milk.
Highly Nutritious

Highly Digestible

Low Cholestrol

A Unique Product of Nature !!

We were disappointed that the feeding areas were closed due to health checks. As such, the boys din manage to feed the goats personally *sob*

We left the goat farm & move on to the Frog Farm a few mins drive away... ...

Its a rare occasion to see so many frogs. The boys were stunned !!
I saw a BIG plastic bag with many frogs struggling inside (see pic below)!! Cannot help wondering if they are due for slaughter?? Poor thing ... ...
There are also fish pond there. Lots of fishes ... ...

We ended the day with a late lunch at South Bridge Road. Yummilicious prawn noodle, Crayfish Laksa & Mee Siem. According to the stall owner, the gravy for the latter is made of fruits & not the asam paste. Totally mouth savouring & we finished up wanting a 2nd bowl but the boys just cant sit still so have to leave the place. I'll be back to try the Mee Reebus... ... :) ~~~~

IBM Family Day at Siloso Beach

My family was invited for the IBM Family Day recently. The event was held in the afternoon around 3pm. We reached there around 2pm but was surprised that there were limited parking left. As a result, a lot of walking to reach Siloso Beach (Sentosa).

As you can see from the photos, dark clouds started to appear & it rained just when its abt time for registration. Luckily, the boys catch some sand time before rushing them to shelter.

Zac kicked a few goals at the game stall & took home a few small gifts ;p
They were kind enough to offer gifts to Amos too though he did not kick in a single one!! How thoughtful of them to win the smile from my little boy :):)

These are what we had for dinner. All of us were starving when finally grab hold of the dinner packs around 7pm+ !!

It wasn't a great day for us cos of the long queue everywhere. Queue for food, for game stall & even the restroom :(
The boys were exhausted & cranky on the long ride home... traffic jams !! *sigh*

The Spirit of BEAR-iuca

-START COPYING HERE-

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a powerful Genie Princess named Mariuca who was known throughout the land as the friendliest, most popular blogger in the blogosphere kingdom. Adored and admired by international visitors and commentators from around the world, the Genie Princess travels the blogosphere on her magical flying carpet, always looking for ways to share her good fortune with others.

Over the past two years of blogging, Mariuca has met so many new people, from all walks of life and all over the world, each one bringing a little of their culture and lifestyle when they visit and comment on Mariuca’s two sites. So on her 2nd Blog Anniversary, Mariuca wanted to celebrate with all of her international blogosphere buddies by hosting a bear-naming contests at Wishing On A Falling Star and Mariuca’s Perfume Gallery and to pass her two lucky, cuddly teddy bears along to the winners who came up with the best names.

On the opposite side of the world, from the moment Roxy (the prolific Roxiticus Desperate Housewives blogger) and her sweet daughters London and Maddie saw the teddy in his personalized t-shirt and blue muffler at Wishing On A Falling Star, they knew that he needed to come to live with their family in Mendham, NJ. The three New Jersey girls named him immediately and burst into a wonderful song for BEAR-iuca:

BEAR-iuca, BEAR-iuca, amazing teddy cheer.
BEAR-iuca, BEAR-iuca, we’d love you to come live here!

Mariuca received 16 possible names for the Mariuca Teddy Bear, making it hard for the Genie Princess to choose just one…then Alakazam! A bolt of lightning delivered the perfect way to share BEAR-iuca’s good fortune to bloggers around the globe. While the soft, stuffed, cuddly BEAR-iuca is on his way to live with Roxy, London, Maddie and Rex in the Roxiticus Valley, the Spirit of BEAR-iuca is racing through the blogosphere to bring happiness, holiday cheer, and beary best wishes to everyone who welcomes him into their online home and passes along the BEAR-iuca good luck charm to ten friends.

Happy Birthday MPG.... from Chanel

The winner for the blue bear contest was released yesterday & congrats to Roxy for choosing an excellent name.

I'm trying my luck to bring home the pink one over at Mariuca's Perfume Gallery. This is the very first contest over at MPG in conjunction with her 2nd blogversary. I have close connection to MPG because we are both perfume lovers & collectors :):)

I have given her a name Chanel, simply irresistable .. ...just like the spirit of Coco Chanel perfume in which MPG is all about that!!

By chance we met
So into perfume we both are
How can I miss not bringing home
A scent-sational bear from the first contest !!
Chanel, a name I chose for her
And cant wait to bring her home ...

Genting/KL Trip : Part II

... continued from Genting/KL trip : Part I

Hubs accompanied the boys for the unlimited day ride at the Indoor Theme Park at Genting. I helped them to take pictures.

Portable mini mahjong set my sis brought along. We played a game each for the 3 nights. No luck with this new set of mahjong. S$20 poorer :(
Luckily we had some luck over at the casino. Won RM 150 at the Wheel Of Fortune in just 10 mins. We walked off after that in case greed made us loss everything. LOL :):)

All these glorious food kept us energized !! Our first night dinner was at Ah Yat Restaurant. It cost a BOMB cos my sis ordered RED wine too ... ... RM 2K for a table of 10 adults & 3 kids !! We had dim sum breakfast the next day at the same restaurant. It was recommended by friend to try their dim sum. GOOD !! :):)

We feasted at these restaurants at Gentings : Kenny Rogers (prompt service & cheap), McDonalds (long queue for the sake of the boys cos they want the happy meal toys), Kopitiam Zi Cha (terrible, no ingredients & very saltish!!)

Over at Berjaya Time Square : Buffet Breakfast at hotel Big Apple Cafe (moderately good !!), Sushi King (lousy waiter, reminded order for thrice then he served the california maki *faint*), The Chicken Rice Shop (the best meal over the 4 days too bad it was taken in a rush cos of the checking out time. Very tender chicken & aromatic rice)

How can I not miss the shopping part?????
For the boys : Polo Ralph Tees (x2), Guess Shirts (x4), Personalized Key Chain(x2), Adidas Shoes (x1), Poney Tees (x3) & Looney Tunes Tees (x1)
For hubs : Vietnamese Pants, Bum Equipment Bermudas
For myself : Diesel top (x2), Sandels (x2), Body Glove Top (x5), Coach Key Chain (x2) & assorted souvenirs

Back home, the boys playing with their Madagascar toys :):)

Although I was sick throughout the trip (coughing very badly)... .... I am glad that the boys enjoyed themselves & able to overcome the long journey !!
We planned to go to Sunway Lagoon on our next trip ... ... YAY !! :):)

Genting/KL Trip : Part I

The boys went for their first oversea trip : 4D3N Genting/KL from 21-24 Nov 08 with my family. All off us boarded a 26 seater executive coach at 7am on 21 Nov 08 :)

The 2 boys kept themselves entertained with the onboard movie & games. Amos fell asleep half way through the journey...
Zac was excited with the trip & looked relax with his head set over his head :):)

We alighted at First World Hotel (Gentings at about 2pm+). However, were disappointed that the rooms will only be available at around 5pm. All of us waited at the lobby. I took the time to walk around & cannot help noticing a few chef working on a X'mas house made of bread & cream. It was amazing :):)

Our hotel rooms : -
First World Hotel :Rm 25-928 (Extremly small, we stayed there for 2 night)
Berjaya Times Square Hotel : Rm A18-08 (So spacious contrast to FW Hotel, too bad we only stayed there for a night !! I didn't even have a chance to sit down on the sofa..... LOL :D:D:D:D)

Photos I took with the boys mostly at Genting cos my camera failed half way. So didn't take much photos at KL *sob* :(:(

The 2 boys had a jolly good time at the Genting Theme Park & Cosmo World Theme Park at Times Square. It was endless fun to them!! :):)
