Resort World Sentosa - Festive Hotel

We went to Resort World Sentosa (RWS) at the beginning of the Term 3 holidays. It was a day of gathering cos my sis got a room at Festive Hotel and the whole gang of Ng family were roaming RWS. We went there by car & reached the island at around 10.45am.

My sis's room has a luxurious king size bed, a sofa bed (see pic below which I'm seated on) that folds into a double bed and a Loft bed that caters for children. It was a perfect getaway hotel for families travelling with kids :)

The boys' were amazed by the Loft bed & climbed up & down constantly... ...

My sis's room was on the 4th floor, just a level above the pool :)



We walked around the shops... ... a lot of tempting treats for children... ...

We did not enter the Universal Studio due to the lack of time but will definitely return!

Time really passed & we did not realized we had spend half a day walking & walking... ...
The boys were tired so we left the island earlier around 6+pm than the rest of the gang & head to Vivocity for dinner. The parking fee was a killing S$21!!

We might not have been able to visit the hotel rooms & capture those great photos if not for my sis. Thanks sis, Min !! :)

IBM Family Day at Siloso Beach

My family was invited for the IBM Family Day recently. The event was held in the afternoon around 3pm. We reached there around 2pm but was surprised that there were limited parking left. As a result, a lot of walking to reach Siloso Beach (Sentosa).

As you can see from the photos, dark clouds started to appear & it rained just when its abt time for registration. Luckily, the boys catch some sand time before rushing them to shelter.




Zac kicked a few goals at the game stall & took home a few small gifts ;p
They were kind enough to offer gifts to Amos too though he did not kick in a single one!! How thoughtful of them to win the smile from my little boy :):)


These are what we had for dinner. All of us were starving when finally grab hold of the dinner packs around 7pm+ !!

It wasn't a great day for us cos of the long queue everywhere. Queue for food, for game stall & even the restroom :(
The boys were exhausted & cranky on the long ride home... traffic jams !! *sigh*

Nokia Family Day at Sentosa

We went to the Nokia Family Day at Sentosa last Sat.
It was so fun. I din expect to stay at the beach for so long.
We reached there around 10am & stayed all the way till 3pm.
You can imagine how 'roasted' we were after that. I am the most serious cos I stayed long hours at the beach to accompany the boys :):)
My shoulder were so pain & red after that. It had been a week now & the skin is starting to peel off now.

Me with my 2 boys. Zac cannot quite take the heat when we first reached there. Look at his disturbing face..... haha.... however, he started to warm up soon when he saw so many fun stalls as we walked along.... :)

We each took out turns at the spray paint tattoo.

The 2 boys playing at the bubble & tried their luck at the fishing stall. Zac got some prize cos he managed to caught 3 fishes within a min... haha.. .of course with the help of hubs ;p

Hubs & I tried our luck at some stalls too. We are proud to say that we actually bring home lots of prizes. All the game stalls are free games by the way so long we have the game coupon.

Zac eating the chicken cheese sausages, Oh man.. its so yummy. I think our family had more than 10 of it. All food & beverages are free too !! :):)

The boys are seated at the kid's corner playing some arts while snacking away. Hubs & I quickly sneak off to roam around....hehe ;p

Free flow of can drinks... the coconut drink way too sweet & refreshing.... wow !!

We had our lunch sitting on the mat here!!

Zac's mood was at his highest on that bungy trampoline. I thought he will be scare & din want to let him try. My little boy was so adventurous, much braver than mummy (I'm scare of heights !!). He loves the thrill & I had to queue up 5 times for him to play that.... LOL :D

Hubs took pictures of me by the beautiful sea. What a nice scene !!

Can you see how red & burnt my shoulders & arm were? Ouccchhhh, its really painful !!

The tattoo was from the paint spray too... nice or not? I chose the pic myself !! :)

Such a fun-filled day! A very good applause to the organiser of the event. I bet Nokia spent a BOMB !! :D

Shooter, really kenna shoot-ed

Today my hub is on leave. We planned to bring the kids to Sentosa in the afternoon.
Since it is still early (9.30am) & Zac has gone for his nursery class. We decided to catch a morning show "Shooter" at Marina Square. Not many cinema are showing this show has it is considered an old show.

The theatre is v empty haha, only ..... the 2 of us..... I still joke with my hub that I have actually BOOKED the whole theatre to watch the show with him in the Samsung Platinum theatre. But, just at this moment, 3 man walk inside n seat just in front of us. HaIz, wanna pretend also cannot.

It was the 10.30 am show, but waited until 10.45am still no signs of advertisment watsoever. Saw the usher walking in and out using the walkie talkie. I think something wrong with the projection.

By then, our popcorn is already half empty... suddenly, the theatre lite lights up. Usually is at the end of the show.

Siao Liao lo, I told my hub I think unable to show, waited for another 5 mins still no sign of progress & nobody walk into the theatre to inform us. We zitou go to the booking desk n confront the manager, a softspoken lady. In the end, we got compensated for the tickets n another 2 complimentary tickets that can only be watched from Mon-Thurs with many other conditions. eg. no free list, no midnite show, no marathon shows....etc. Looking at the poor pop corn n coke in our hands, they are being reimbursed at well.

This is the most unfortunate shows we had. Didn't get to watch the Shooter shoots but kenna shoot-ed.

So much of the morning commotion ....

Luckily, the afternoon Sentosa trip was a fruitful n enjoyable one for the family.
Our first visit to Sentosa after the renovation !!
