Well Done, Zachary ... ...

Time really flies.... it seems like yesterday when I am still worrying about Zac's first step into his Pri schoool life... ...


Zac just completed his Pri 1 level & really proud of him for scoring full marks for his Chinese & achieve Best in Chinese for Pri 1 level in his school. It was indeed honoured & delightful moment to be able to attend the Prize Presentation in his school today.

Zachary turned 7 ... ...

How time flies... ... My elder boy, Zac turned 7 years old yesterday (4 Oct 2010).

I cannot help thinking how much he had grown, feeling really emotional when I look at him now... My little baby whom I nursed since birth is now 7 ;~~~~)

Many days before his birthday, Zac asked for a handmade birthday card from me. Yes, that's just what he ask for, a BIRTHDAY CARD from mummy ;p

He is always by my side so I can only work on the card when he is alseep. hehe...

I chose 2 of his favourite colors which is yellow & orange for the cover & the writing sheet respectively ;p

He did not see me working on the card so he kept reminding me if I have done it days before his birthday & again a day before his birthday. hehe.

I told him I'm "busy" but actually I've completed it days before. LOL :D:D:D:D

He hinted to me that he would like to have "goodie bags" for his classmates too. This was really challenging for me cos children his age don't really fancy lots of candies & lollipops. As such, I went around sourcing for useful, cute stuff 2 weeks before his birthday for his 28 classmates (excluding Zac) + 2 for his Form Teacher & Chinese Teacher. Total : 30 gifts.


The "goodie" has to be colourful, useful & not too bulky. Zac has to transport the things alone to school so it must be manageable to him too.

Finally, I decided on Disney character photo frames. They were really colourful & his classmates could make use of them & remember Zac (hopefully!! hehehe). I added 2 "Tom & Jerry" toffee & decorated it on the photo frame as though a "ribbon". I spent quite a few days to re-paste the candies cos it kept dropping down ;p


I'm really satisfied with the output & Zac loved it !! :):)

How can a birthday boy not receive any pressies?

From mummy... ...

From daddy, .....something similiar to "Wii" from Sony PS3. Zac loves it & plays even better than anyone of us :):)

Zac also received presents from his classmates, Jean, Tiara & Nikki.

We had meals at his 2 favourite restaurants. He loves Swensen & japanese food.

His ice-cream cake was from swensen. He chose mango & strawberry flavour. Zac is NOT a chocolate lover. Can you see his unhappy face upon receiving the complimentary mini Coit Tower with lotsa chocolate & nuts? Oh no...

We had Swensen Weekend Breakfast a day before his birthday.

Zac had a sumptuous lunch on his birthday. He had a share in all the below food you see. He ate more than me !! LOL :D

Thank you to all my friends & Zac's friends whom had sent in their birthday wishes for him either through sms or FB. Zac is very happy to read all the messages for him ;)

Lastly, the most memorable moment happened at night. Zac lie-down on the bed beside me & he kissed & thanked me for all the efforts & money incurred to make his birthday possible. I was shocked as I never expected it. He has never said that to me for his passed birthday. My little boy has really "matured" & his little gesture really warms my heart :):):)

Zac's Swimming Class

Zac started his swim class 2 mths ago. He is now into his 10th lesson from Coach Desmond. I have been following him throughout his lessons & keeping closely of his progress. Consider the fact that he has zero swimming knowledge & water fright, he is making some progress now. He is able to swim a distance using float & can control his breathe in the water. Last lesson, none of the students turned up for the lesson due to the heavy rain that morning. As such, Zac got the 'private' (1-1) training. hehehe.... how fortunate !! :):)

Zac is a Model Pupil in school :)

Zac was selected by his form teacher as the model pupil for his Term 1 in school. He got a collar badge from his principal for that recognition. According to this form teacher. Zac is a helpful, friendly, smart boy and pays much attention in class He will render his help for the weaker friends in his class both physically and emotionally. I'm so proud of him!! Well done Zac and keep it up :):)

Zac made it on 2 wheel bicycle !!

I'm extremely delighted today cos Zac made it on 2 wheel bicycle :)
He has been cycling on 4 wheel bicycle all this while.

It was all sweat & aching limbs for him cos he practiced for nearly to 2 hours under the patient guidance from his parents (ahem!!). I somehow felt that my leave from work is all worth it!!

Well done Zac!! I'm so proud of you... ... *hugs*

Amos turned 4 !!

We celebrated Amos' 4th birthday yesterday :)
Although it was a small celebration, little Amos enjoyed himself tremendously... ...

We had lunch at Swensen, there was a long queue due to the 1 for 1 lunch offer. I din even know of the promotion, it was really worth i t!! :):)

Amos was so excited to head to Kidz Amaze.... we haven't been there for months but he could still rem the different passages leading to different slides. He had 2 hrs of non-stop fun & was reluctant to go home.

It was really late & I have to invite the birthday boy to return home to cut his birthday cake. :D:D

The boys' first month in new school :)

Amos is attending his nursery this year. This is not the first time he goes to school. He attended playgroups & pre-nursery prior to that. In fact, he started going to school at 20 mths ~:)
There was a bit of crying from him on the first day of school bcos of the early class & he tend to be a bit cranky. He has get used to waking up early now & enjoyed going to his morning class :):)


As for Zac, he began his Primary school journey this year. I was so worried for him on the first day of school. I went to see him during his recess time. He managed to order the food he wanted to eat after a bit of confusion & help from the parent volunteer as well as his Pri 3 buddy. As the days passed by.... he has attended school for a month now. I'm no longer worried about him during his recess time as he is coping fine !! :):)

Zac's K2 Certification Presentation cum Concert 2009

Zac's K2 Certification Presentation & Concert finally ended last Sunday @ ITE Simei Auditorium. It must have been tough on the participating children & teachers with the constant rehearsal prior to it!! *sweat*

Below is pic of Zac with his graduation gown over his concert attire. He took a pic with his best friend, Xavier. Too bad the 2 boys will not be in the same school next year *sob*

The VIPs for the event was Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Defence, Mr Teo Chee Hean. The boys were so honoured to be able to take a pic with him :):)

We also took pic with our MPs, Ms Penny Low. She is so friendly & even joked with Amos, who was shy at first to take the pic ;p

Zac turned 6 !!

Zac turned 6 yrs old on 4 Oct 09... ...
We had lunch at Swensens, one of Zac's fav restaurant !!

This year, Zac chose mango filling CAR 95 cake :)
We actually planned to cut the cake at the restaurant, however, Zac was too full to consume the cake. As such, we brought the cake to my MIL's house ... ...


We proceeded to Orchid Bowl at Downtown East cos daddy promised to bring Zac for bowling as he had scored 100 marks 5 times consecutively for his English Spelling in school !!
However, the waiting list was too long. The boys played at the mini-bowl instead. They played 3 sets of games together.


We went to the beach nearby after that. Amos saw a fallen kite from a tree... ... hehehe ;p
They had so much fun running with it !!
