Well Done, Zachary ... ...

Time really flies.... it seems like yesterday when I am still worrying about Zac's first step into his Pri schoool life... ...

Zac just completed his Pri 1 level & really proud of him for scoring full marks for his Chinese & achieve Best in Chinese for Pri 1 level in his school. It was indeed honoured & delightful moment to be able to attend the Prize Presentation in his school today.

Great Job, Zac!!
Mummy hope you continue to achieve greater heights :):)

Zachary turned 7 ... ...

How time flies... ... My elder boy, Zac turned 7 years old yesterday (4 Oct 2010).

I cannot help thinking how much he had grown, feeling really emotional when I look at him now... My little baby whom I nursed since birth is now 7 ;~~~~)

Many days before his birthday, Zac asked for a handmade birthday card from me. Yes, that's just what he ask for, a BIRTHDAY CARD from mummy ;p

He is always by my side so I can only work on the card when he is alseep. hehe...

I chose 2 of his favourite colors which is yellow & orange for the cover & the writing sheet respectively ;p

He did not see me working on the card so he kept reminding me if I have done it days before his birthday & again a day before his birthday. hehe.

I told him I'm "busy" but actually I've completed it days before. LOL :D:D:D:D

Here is the card :

He hinted to me that he would like to have "goodie bags" for his classmates too. This was really challenging for me cos children his age don't really fancy lots of candies & lollipops. As such, I went around sourcing for useful, cute stuff 2 weeks before his birthday for his 28 classmates (excluding Zac) + 2 for his Form Teacher & Chinese Teacher. Total : 30 gifts.

The "goodie" has to be colourful, useful & not too bulky. Zac has to transport the things alone to school so it must be manageable to him too.

Finally, I decided on Disney character photo frames. They were really colourful & his classmates could make use of them & remember Zac (hopefully!! hehehe). I added 2 "Tom & Jerry" toffee & decorated it on the photo frame as though a "ribbon". I spent quite a few days to re-paste the candies cos it kept dropping down ;p

I'm really satisfied with the output & Zac loved it !! :):)

How can a birthday boy not receive any pressies?

From mummy... ...

From daddy, .....something similiar to "Wii" from Sony PS3. Zac loves it & plays even better than anyone of us :):)

Zac also received presents from his classmates, Jean, Tiara & Nikki.

We had meals at his 2 favourite restaurants. He loves Swensen & japanese food.
His ice-cream cake was from swensen. He chose mango & strawberry flavour. Zac is NOT a chocolate lover. Can you see his unhappy face upon receiving the complimentary mini Coit Tower with lotsa chocolate & nuts? Oh no...

We had Swensen Weekend Breakfast a day before his birthday.

Zac had a sumptuous lunch on his birthday. He had a share in all the below food you see. He ate more than me !! LOL :D

Thank you to all my friends & Zac's friends whom had sent in their birthday wishes for him either through sms or FB. Zac is very happy to read all the messages for him ;)

Lastly, the most memorable moment happened at night. Zac lie-down on the bed beside me & he kissed & thanked me for all the efforts & money incurred to make his birthday possible. I was shocked as I never expected it. He has never said that to me for his passed birthday. My little boy has really "matured" & his little gesture really warms my heart :):):)

Happy Teachers' Day

Teachers act as a role model for the students & inspire them to lead a peaceful & civilized life. Some teachers are remembered even after their retirement because of the extraordinary service to their instituition as well as to the students :)
Happy Teachers' Day to all the teachers out here.
Thank you so much for your dedication & guidance in nurturing the little ones :)
Special thanks to Amos' teacher : Teacher Sarina & Rachel
As well as Zac's teacher : Ms Kong & Mdm Tang

Zac turned 6 !!

Zac turned 6 yrs old on 4 Oct 09... ...
We had lunch at Swensens, one of Zac's fav restaurant !!
Complimentary firehouse sundae for the birthday boy :)~~~

This year, Zac chose mango filling CAR 95 cake :)
We actually planned to cut the cake at the restaurant, however, Zac was too full to consume the cake. As such, we brought the cake to my MIL's house ... ...

We proceeded to Orchid Bowl at Downtown East cos daddy promised to bring Zac for bowling as he had scored 100 marks 5 times consecutively for his English Spelling in school !!
However, the waiting list was too long. The boys played at the mini-bowl instead. They played 3 sets of games together.

We went to the beach nearby after that. Amos saw a fallen kite from a tree... ... hehehe ;p
They had so much fun running with it !!

Zac's pressie from mummy & daddy. A CAR 95 pencil case, a world globe & Beados toy :)

Birthday Card, Swensen voucher & Tumbling Monkey toy from Auntie Molly :)

Toy glasses & UNO cards from Auntie Sri & Goodie Bags from Auntie Audrey :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, Darling Zac...
Mummy & Daddy hope you had great fun on your birthday & always stay cheerful & healthy *hug* :):)

WW : My little Mr Cool ... ...

My helper bought the funky glasses for Amos a few weeks ago after his persistent request. No wonder he likes his "Auntie" (helper) so much cos she dotes on him !!
This morning I saw him wearing it & sat down in a stylo position. See his hand on his leg & acting cool? haha... I try to make him laugh but he just remain silent !!

Oh well, that's my little Mr Cool... ... :):)

Do Re Mi ... ...

My 4th sis gave me her old keyboard since her boy has upgraded to playing on the piano.
She warned me that the adapter was missing & that I have to get it myself.
I went to Yamaha & got it at S$40 (rather ex!!).
Amos is so excited with his new musical instrument. Can you believe that he knows how to power on everything & meddle with those buttons as though really know how to play? hehe ;p

What's missing now are the books for the boys to learn. I can teach them cos I've learnt piano before when I'm younger.

Thanks so much to my 4th for giving us the musical instrument. :):)

Amos' NEW personalised bag

I ordered the personalised bag for Amos a week ago. This was his belated 3rd birthday pressie given by his beloved auntie Molly. It was delivered via registered mail this morning. Amos was delighted to see his name sewn on it. He chose the design himself from a dozen of choices. I hope the bag can last him throughout his pre-school years since it looks durable & rather spacious ;)

Btw, here's how much it cost... ...
$32 + $5 (personalisation) + $1.50 (postage) + $2.25 (registered mail) = $40.75
If you are keen, you may want to check out their website.

Amos is 3 today !!

We celebrated Amos' 3rd birthday last Sunday over at my parents house. I had a hard time deciding on the cake & only confirm the design 5 days before the celebration. Amos loves sea creatures & so he wanted his cake to have just that !! I finally found one bakery for him & there goes Amos' SEA CREATURE birthday cake ... ...

I'm thrilled that Amos' little wish was fulfilled !!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, Amos!!

Spiderman Fleece Set

Its so windy recently that we don't even need to on the fan. It can get especially cold in the middle of the night. My little boy, Amos doesn't like to be covered by blankets, he will kick it off immediately. I could feel that his hands and legs are cold from the wind.

I was browsing the web looking out for sales and located one that I specially love looking at are tabs on babies & toddlers meant for my boys. There is this Spiderman fleece set just perfect for Amos as he loves superhero.

The striking color combination immediately caught my attention. I'm so eager to see how Amos will look in that attire. Totally awesome ! He is going to love wearing it and I don't have to worry about his cold hands and legs anymore. YAY ! :)

Do you still remember my entry for the pink bear over at Mariuca's Perfume Gallery. This is the very first contest at MPG in conjunction with her 2nd blogversary.

This is what I wrote for the contest :

By chance we met
So into perfume we both are
How can I miss not bringing home
A scent-sational bear from the first contest !!
Chanel, a name I chose for her
And cant wait to bring her home ... "

I'm glad to announce that I really did manage to bring Chanel home. She had arrived safely from across the causeway to my home yesterday afternoon ... .... YAY!!

My FIRST ever winning prize from a blog contest. How amazing !! :):)

Genting/KL Trip : Part II

... continued from Genting/KL trip : Part I

Hubs accompanied the boys for the unlimited day ride at the Indoor Theme Park at Genting. I helped them to take pictures.

Portable mini mahjong set my sis brought along. We played a game each for the 3 nights. No luck with this new set of mahjong. S$20 poorer :(
Luckily we had some luck over at the casino. Won RM 150 at the Wheel Of Fortune in just 10 mins. We walked off after that in case greed made us loss everything. LOL :):)

All these glorious food kept us energized !! Our first night dinner was at Ah Yat Restaurant. It cost a BOMB cos my sis ordered RED wine too ... ... RM 2K for a table of 10 adults & 3 kids !! We had dim sum breakfast the next day at the same restaurant. It was recommended by friend to try their dim sum. GOOD !! :):)

We feasted at these restaurants at Gentings : Kenny Rogers (prompt service & cheap), McDonalds (long queue for the sake of the boys cos they want the happy meal toys), Kopitiam Zi Cha (terrible, no ingredients & very saltish!!)

Over at Berjaya Time Square : Buffet Breakfast at hotel Big Apple Cafe (moderately good !!), Sushi King (lousy waiter, reminded order for thrice then he served the california maki *faint*), The Chicken Rice Shop (the best meal over the 4 days too bad it was taken in a rush cos of the checking out time. Very tender chicken & aromatic rice)

How can I not miss the shopping part?????
For the boys : Polo Ralph Tees (x2), Guess Shirts (x4), Personalized Key Chain(x2), Adidas Shoes (x1), Poney Tees (x3) & Looney Tunes Tees (x1)
For hubs : Vietnamese Pants, Bum Equipment Bermudas
For myself : Diesel top (x2), Sandels (x2), Body Glove Top (x5), Coach Key Chain (x2) & assorted souvenirs

Back home, the boys playing with their Madagascar toys :):)

Although I was sick throughout the trip (coughing very badly)... .... I am glad that the boys enjoyed themselves & able to overcome the long journey !!
We planned to go to Sunway Lagoon on our next trip ... ... YAY !! :):)
