Hermit Crab

My sister bought 2 Hermit Crabs recently. It cost S$75 including the tank. I was amazed by it!!

The Hermit Crab is a type of crab that doesn't have a very hard shell. It uses other animals' old shells for protection; they especially like old whelk shells. As the hermit crab grows in size, it must find a larger shell. It is their habit of living in a second hand shell that gave rise to the popular name "Hermit Crab".
There are about 500 different species of hermit crabs around the world. Most hermit crab species live on the ocean floor, but many live on land. Female terrestrial (land based) hermit crabs must return to the sea to breed.

I happened to witness how the crab molt (shed its skin). See bottom left hand corner of pic . That was the discarded skin & limb from the crab !!

Interesting pet to have at home if you're not afraid of sharp creepy crawlers.... hahaha :D

Do Re Mi ... ...

My 4th sis gave me her old keyboard since her boy has upgraded to playing on the piano.
She warned me that the adapter was missing & that I have to get it myself.
I went to Yamaha & got it at S$40 (rather ex!!).
Amos is so excited with his new musical instrument. Can you believe that he knows how to power on everything & meddle with those buttons as though really know how to play? hehe ;p

What's missing now are the books for the boys to learn. I can teach them cos I've learnt piano before when I'm younger.

Singapore Science Centre

My 4th sis happened to have free tickets to Science Centre end of last year.
Its been so long since I last visited the place. Its the first time for the boys though, most of the attractions there were way too comprehensive for them to decipher at this moment. My main purpose is to bring them to the WaterWorks Exhibition for some water fun. The moment I reached the venue. I was so disappointed. See the notice there?

It read :
Dear Visitor, due to a technical fault, Waterworks Exhibition will be closed until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Thank You.


Completely disappointed....Brought all the necessities for the 2 boys & they cant enjoy the fun. Consider a good sunny day for December for outdoor fun .... arrrgghhhhh :(

Luckily, its the first time there for the boys so they still do not know that there is such a fun water splash area. Or else, sure will make a fuss... hehe ;p


On the right is the Science Time Capsule to be opened in the year 2011. It contains science & tech artifacts from the year 1973, 1983 & 2001.

Zac went around to try on all the exhibits. He was jumping with joy while turning the lever at the exhibits for the primary school :)

I actually took a lot of pics, but only chose all these which I though were more entertaining...:)

Lastly, had dinner at the Mcdonalds....

The outlet displayed an incredible collection of their passed collectibles. I saw one of the Fries collectible series (3rd row from the left) that I wanted badly for Zac the last time when he was young. What happen was that, when he was about 1 yr+, bringing him out for meals was a challenge, he refused to sit still unless have fries on the table. So every time I had to purchase a packet of fries will he sit still. That was how the thought of getting the Fries toy came about to distract him !!


It was a tiring day walking through all the exhibits.

The boys as usual.... doZzzzzed off on the way home.... :)

Hug your loved ones

Last Fri, we went out for a drinking session with 3 of my sis & brother. Btw, if you remember... I've got a big family. I'm the youngest with 5 other sisters & 2 brother (my elder brother, deceased).

We arranged to meet at my parents' house first. My eldest sis, Jenny, arrived early & both of us were bored so we get my mum's maid to take photos for us. Can you imagine that my eldest sis is 14 yrs my senior? However, she still look youthful for her age. Her 2 daughters are already over 20+ yrs. How time flies. In a few years time, she will be a granny. The pretties granny I have ever known... haha :D


Jenny has put in a lot of effort for our BIG family. There are traces of her appearance every little steps of our journey. She is a counsellor, mummy & kind sister to me. I don't know what will happen to our BIG family without her. :)

Try to spend more time with your family & treasure those moments. If you love & care for someone, just tell & hug the person, don't wait till it it too late to do so... ...
