Wedding Gift for guests

Hubs attended a relative's wedding recently, the guests are given a bronze photo frame & tiny bowl with an image of a couple in traditional costume.

This is the first time I came across such unique wedding gift for guest. Usually, the gift are in the form of chocolate or little bears.

Really lovely isn't it? :)

The couple must have spent quite a bit on their wedding favors.

Wow, wedding gifts are getting nicer and nicer. When my friend and his Korean wife got married, they gave away pretty little Korean bowl with a lid.

whenever i go to wedding dinners, there are lots of different gifts, like chocolate that can eat on the spot, traditional small cosmetic box, "ghost" pepper container, capsule bottles. the latest i went gave me the saucer like that one in the photo!!

haha, already started using it with chili and tomato sauce all over it! haha

J@n!ce said...

Leonard : Maybe its now the trend towards gifts like that... no longer chocolates!! So fast you start to use the saucer... ;)

Mine is still nicely wrapped up as seen in the pic :)

J@n!ce said...

TNP : haha... yes, we could even gobble down the chocolate before the dinner is serve right? :)

AWWWW SO CUTE!!!

In Indo there are lots of wedding couples giving small notepads he he he...

Mizohican said...

Back at my place Mizoram (India), guests never receive any such gifts! The only thing we get are free yummy food (wedding cake, beverages, pastries, and a grand feast for all the guests if the newly weds are rich). But no such gifts or mementos etc as it is not a part of our tradition.

our customs do have gifts for the guest....
usually in the marriage...such gifts r given & also it is like exchange of wishes...

previously whether there was a custom r not... no one knows... but now a days it is like a status symbol...
& depending on the disposable income... some times we give gifts of silver like a lamp or some other silver gift or some hand made craft....

hope it is the same at singapore also....
