Throwback Thursday : Toys cabinet

Bought this cabinet from Ikea just to put the kid's toy. This picture was taken last year when the cabinet was assembled & toys & books neatly organized.

Its been more than half a year now...

So difficult to get everything tidied up..... I'm busy packing it & the boys are busy messing it up again !!

It is very disorganized now with missing toys, books.... no where be found. How I wish the cabinet is once tidy & clean again !! :)

Throwback Thursday : Little Zac & Mummy

These photos were taken on 4/11/2003. Exactly 1 mth after giving birth to Zac. Sorry that I still look very heavy. It was a chinese tradition to bring the baby to the parent's house to celebrate. Zac looked so tiny in my arms, I could carry him using single arms actually. Zac was sleeping soundly througout the journey to my mum-in-law's house, he was still sleeping while we took the pictures. hehe ;p

I went to the salon to get my hair trimmed prior to that. The hair stylist wanted me to create a different look to my usual long straight hair. He curled up my hair. I was quite reluctant but he ensure I will look fine. I'm gald I tried it cos it was quite an experience. I am not a very adventurous person when it comes to changing of hair style. All bcos of my hubs, he said I look terrible in short hair :(

So everytime I go to the salon, I have to ensure that my long hair is maintained ! haha :)

Throwback Thursday : Zac & his funny moments

When Zac was younger around 1 yr +. We had a hard time getting him to sit on the car seat. We had to give him 2 toys everytime we tried to put him on it. See pictures of him holding onto the toys on each of his hands? Only that will be be satisfied & seated calmly. Before that, you cannot imagine the trouble we went through to put him in that seat. We have to purchase a portable dvd player to run his favourite "HIGH 5" songs & bring those things loaded inside the car for his viewing pleasure. What a little fussy prince we had, it was a lot of job bringing him out that time ... .... ;p

On one occasion, he was seated down but with legs WIDE open. It was hilarious, even now I look at it, I cannot help laughing. Totally precious photo to me, its rare to have him seated like that & still acted so COOL !! haha :D

Zac looked so funny with those acrobatic stunts right? WAhahahahaha :D

How time flies down, he doesn't need those chair anymore. He is even tall enough to forgo the booster seat :)

Throwback Thursday : Little Zac's Affection

Zac was close to me since birth cos I took care of him alone. These photos of him were taken when he was less than a year old. He looked tall for his age right? ;)

I was surprised that he stare at me like that while my hubs was about to take our pictures at the beach. Zac suddenly turned around & looked at me straight in the eyes as though asking who I am... My hubs was stunned by his sudden reaction too !! haha :D

After a while confirming "Who I am", then he lean on me for the photo shot... .... how sweet !! :):)

Below 2 photos were precious too.!! Zac suddenly lean his face forward & KISSED my chin for a couple of seconds just before taking the photo. Its so tender & I felt like a proud first time mummy at that moment.


Those are moments that I could only re-cap through those photos now. Zac don't kiss me like that now. He kiss me on my leg on a few occasions though... haha.... funny Zac :):)

Throwback Thursday : 4 mths old Hair Shaving Ceremony

Chinese would know that there is a hair shaving ceremony for infants. I also don't know the meaning of the ceremony. It could be to bring good luck to the baby? Maybe someone could enlighten me? Some do it on their full month (ie 1 month old), others prefer it on their 4th month old. For us, we did the latter.

This was how Zac looked like one day before his 4 mth old hair shaving. He got lots of hair & they were really curly which the elderly love !! Everyone commented on his hair since he was born, even till now :)

On the actual day, my sis-in-law, who used to be a hairdresser shave the hair for Zac.

Initially, he was alright, however, he started to scream due to the discomfort when the shaven hair started to fall onto his body. He was scared of the sound from the shaver too :(

What a neat head, no more messy curly hair (I personally prefer straight ones).

I quite like his "monk" look... hehe ;p

Really easy to shower too !! :):)

Unlike Zac, Amos has lesser hair since birth.

His hair is soft & straight which I love to touch :)

Throwback Thursday : The Twins

The good thing about having kiddos of the same sex is that they could share their wardrobe. That is one drastic saving. Looking back at them wearing the same piece of attire around the same age is a joy to me. They are able to bring out their own individual personality through the same attire that has been washed multiple of times :)

My mum bought the Bob Dog sleeveless romper for Zac for his full month (i.e. 1 mth old) celebration. I let Amos to wear the same one on his full mopnth too. This is a priceless photo to me. I was very surprised when the photo turned out that both of them make the same exact pose. How concidence and impressive right? I just heart this !! Can you guess WhO is wHo in the photo?

Below was an Old Navy Polo Tee Romper passed down by a good friend. I think they look quite smart in polo tee. However it was only lightly worn bcos of the texture & color. It was really warm and my mum doesn't like me to dress up my boys in dark shades like that. I think it is easy to differentiate "the twins" now right?

This was another piece from Giordano due to the same reason above that it was lightly worn.

Last time I took care of Zac alone, I got to bring him out using strollers. The only time I can take pictures of him was when he sitted comfortably like that. haha :D

Zac was a chubby boy when he was 1yr + around the same age as Amos now. They may be wearing the same tee, however both pictures speaks so differently of their personality.

Zac is more quiet, Amos is hyper active

Zac has curly hair, Amos has straight hair

Zac is a super glue to me, Amos is mostly fine with everyone

Zac is fussy about food, Amos eats everything

Zac dont drink powdered milk, Amos drinks tins after tins

However, both love fruits & cycling, perspire easily & fight over the same toy

No matter how different they may differ in their personality & habits. They are still my LOVELY BOYS...

Throwback Thursday : Dozzzzzing Off ...

I took care of Zac alone when he was born. Being a First time mum, I was panicky & inexperienced. Everything seemed to be pouring onto me then. Zac is very close to me since his birth cos I breastfeed him till 2yrs old. I took care of him, bath him, feed him, bring him to playgroup, see him crying in school on his first few weeks & I'm also crying in my heart that I have to leave in there in his crying state *sob*.
I am always beside him whenever he needs me. I hardly have time for myself during the first 2 years when he was born until eventually, I'm pregnant with Amos. My tummy was growing by days & I could hardly managed to take care of Zac. Hubs got me a helper!! I could finally "breath" .... .... *smile*

I cant imagine that Zac is turning 4 years old in 2 weeks time. Looking back at him from the series of photo. He always makes me smile with his funny sleeping patterns. It was during these times when he dozed off I could quickly do some chores or lay my hands on the newspaper or chat with my friends online. I haven't learned to blog then, else I would be really super doper BUSY !! haha :D

A lot of of photos he was caught dozing off in his feeding chair cos he would tend to fall alseep after a few mouthful of food. I also duno why!! I felt relieved that he was catching some sleep.
I could get my things done during that hour :)

Babies tend to love sleeping in this awkward position. Experts say they felt more secured sleeping like that !! :)

This is such a useful tool to have for mummies. You will not regret getting one. It cost about S$165 here, it will rock by itself depending on how long you preset the timer. You can catch some beauty sleep at night. I know how tired it is for mummies :)
