Amos : (getting really excited) "Yeah !! I'm going to school with kor kor (refering to Zac) !!"

Mama : "Darling, today is Sunday, no class for kor kor"

We went to Bedok Market to buy our weekly supply of fish. Zac saw the electronic cars & eager to take a spin.

Zac : (waving his hands) "Mama, Didi (refering to Amos) ... I'm here !!"

Amos looking really envious of Zac & finally, cannot control himself & burst into tears. He wanted to sit on the car too but apparently they are too tough for him to handle.

Suddenly, I turned around & saw this little police bike that caught my attention. Looks just perfect for Amos. The bike is really miniature, you can compare it to the telephone booth beside it. Let us welcome the 'youngest police biker". It cost only S$0.20 for about 1 or 2 mins. But the joy in the eyes of the child are words cannot be described... :)

At least, managed to stop those tears from him ..... .....

Suddenly,

Amos : "Mama, cat cat....cat...cat !!"

Mama : Where?......


Sharp pair of eyes.... there is indeed a lonesome cat...!!

EXpensive Feast FOR YOU

Since having the 2 boys, having a relax, reasonably priced & WARM food are way too difficult. I have to gobble down my food without even have the chance to appreciate the fine crusine. Often, we will end up having meals at restaurants, not bcos we are rich & choose to dine there. It is bcos of the difficulty to locate seats & baby chair (for Amos) at the food courts, even with seats, Zac just cant sit still for long there !! I think my mommy & daddy readers will be able to apprehend my sentence.

The last time I really enjoyed my meal was at Jack's Place. Please take your time to read that post if you haven't bcos I hardly have such PEACE.... LOL :)

Today, I would like to 'share' with you some of the expensive food in Singapore. 'Share' bcos I have not tried them myself..... hehehe ;p

I read this article from 'The Straits Times': 5 things money can buy. Click to enlarge the picture

1) PenCai S$5000 for a pot which serves 10 - The most expensive shark's fin I have eaten so far cost S$100 per person. But this pot looks really yummy with so much goody tonic inside. This dish is only served on Chinese New Year though.

2) Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne Mooncakes S$888 for a box of eight - I don't really like mooncake, this mooncake with champagne makes it worst with that price tag !!

3) Otoro Sashimi from S$65 for 4 slices - The only raw food I dare to eat is salmon.

4) Smoked Salmon with Osetra Cavier S$150 with a 50g - I love salmon, I really have to chew slowly every bits of it !!

5) Heavenly Pie S$60 for one serving - I hope the pie is what the name suggest..... HEAVENLY !! But for one serving is really expensive for heaven's sake.... ;)

My 88th Post

My previous post " My 2 little rascals" so happened to be my 88th post. I cant believe that I have written so many. I started blogging on 7th May 2007. This blog has been created specially for them & it was really a coincident that the good number of 88 happened to be a post talking about them.....LOL :)

To celebrate my joy, I would like to invite all of you for an 'EYE'pensive FEAST. Please bear with me while I am busy preparing... :) :) ~~~~~

My 2 little rascals ...

Zac used to be the apple of the eye... until Amos came on board. The love is spread equally though, but to Zac....he gets jealous of Amos at times. Sometimes when I carry Amos, Zac will cry & want me to carry too. He will tend to 'bully' his younger brother when we walk away.



So every now & then, we have to keep a good eye on the two. Even going to the restroom we have to ensure that someone is watching after them cos this is when 'accidents' will happen. They will fight over toys, which vcd to watch, food................etc. Both of them will want to play the SAME TOY at the SAME TIME when a minute ago, they were crying & fighting over a packet of orange juice !!
Shouting at them over such a scene is too common !!
Oh well, as I am typing this.... they are fighting over a white cylinder box with toy cars inside. You must be thinking why fight over that when there are so many cylinder boxes at home, there are RED, YELLOW & even more beautiful PINK ones ..... THEY JUST WANT THE WHITE one at the SAME TIME..... You tell me, headache or not? *scratching head*

Much said of their naughtiness... ...

There are also tender moments when the 2 brothers will hold hands & hug each other.

Just like that time when Zac help Amos to wear his shoes (click here to read the post). Sometimes, I think Zac just wants to be close to Amos & play with him, but we are too protective of Amos & tend to shout at Zac the moment he gets too near to the little brother. His occasional hug & a simple holding of hands could left bruises on Amos which I think he is unintentional but his strength is just too strong. Amos sometimes treat Zac as an 'enemy', whenever he gets nearer to him, he started to scream for attention.... LOL :)

That is the problem with having 2 kids at home who are still very young :)

I haven't brush my teeth yet

I make it a habit for Zac to brush his teeth before retiring for the day. It has become a routine that he has to do it everday since he loves to eat candies. That is more true now that he has got so many pple giving him LOLLIPOPs everyday. *smile*
Even on days when we are tied up, he will remind us that he has yet to brush his teeth.... LOL :)

Amos gets excited whenever my helper calls out to Zac to brush his teeth. He will rush to the bathroom to wait for his turn. I brought a little toothbrush for him sometimes back. He will follow his brother to brush at the same time. The brush looks so BIG in his hands, he is more of playing & biting the bristles rather than brushing. But anyhow, he only got that few teeth to brush... LOL...

I think it is good that Amos gets to see how we brush Zac's teeth. Sooner or later, he will cultivate the habit & eventually do likewise. I think that is the fun part with having 2 kids at home. The younger will get to explore new things from the elder one. Hopefully to learn the good habits & not the bad ones.... It is much more effective than adults teaching them. :) :)

Mummy's Mummy..... YOU are the GREATest

Arlene tagged me on 10 random facts about MY MUM. Ponder for quite a while before doing this to reveal about my mum. After much thought, I think I want to tell the world how GREAT she is :

1) My mum has 8 children : 2 boys & 6 gals. I'm the youngest.
2) She slogged through her late teens bringing up my sis & bros.
3) She likes to munch on tit-bits.
4) She prefer apple to orange.
5) She dislikes my dad's stubborness
6) She hasn't got a chance to enjoy life, all she think about is her children.
7) She calls me nearly everyday to ask my Amos & Zac. She missed them. If nothing holds up, I will visit her every weekends.
8) She is an excellent cook compared to this lazy cook (me). Regretted not learning from her during the days when we stayed together. Now, she could hardly stand & cook. *sob*

10) She insisted not getting a helper to assist in her household chores, not until recently, when she could no longer take it.

I want to tell the world how GREAT my mum is.

lovely aunty & uncle ... I am slightly better today ....

I woke up this morning & received more than 20 comments mostly to ask about Zac & hope he got better. I am very TOUCHED by all of your concern for my boy. As I am typing this, the mails kept coming in. Just received from Sam Chan too :) :)

I would like to say here a very BIG "THANK YOU".

I really appreciate all of your CONCERN towards my children. It is nice to have friends from all over the world that care for my family. *HuGs******

Zac's fever actually went UP (40.3 degree) again at 7.30pm (my time).
Luckily he had a bit of dinner before the fever bug him again.
Gave him the brufen (can only be given if fever exceeds 38.5 degree, can cause gastric) & his anti-biotic (to clear his throat infection). Restless & sleepy &... all signs of pain were written over his entire body :(

1 hour later, he started to have slight movements & became vocal again. He started to talk & .... even sing our national anthem he learnt from school. Our national anthem is in malay. It was really hilarious to hear him singing in his own version of english mixed with malay. I knew instantly that he was getting better else he wouldn't be chatting away with me while lying on the bed. He could even make fun of me & ask me to go pee first, then close my eyes, cover blanket & sleep. Oh......these are my words, I would have to remind him to go toilet first before sleeping everyday..... LOL *blush*
It is a long day for me but it ended with so much JOY taking care of him :D

It is another BIG STEP forward for Zac fighting with the devil with the letter "F" ...

Zac is back to his morning Tumble Tots class, he missed school yesterday... ...

Mama, I'm so cold ...

Yesterday, the nursery teacher at PCF complained to my helper that Zac cried throughout the 2 hr class. We were surprised bcos he was still running & playing around the house prior to school. Helper suspect he was unwell, true enough..... Zac's body started to get warmer & he was shivering. I put on socks for him.

High fever has gotten him, only less than 2 weeks after Amos had his attack too. With 2 kids at home, difficult to isolate the other from the victim.... sigh !!
This morning the fever shot up to 39.6 degree. Doctor gave Zac a 'bullet' at his butt. The 'bullet' is usually used at the last resort if the fever is really HIGH (exceed 39 degree) due to its side effects. Doc said Zac has a throat infection which triggers the fever. Zac felt better 1/2 hour later, he started to sweat & felt hungry. Requested to take shower & eat bean curd & bread.... LOL. It is a good sign if the kid is able to eat, they are on the road to recovery. However, I will still prepare myself as the fever is usually 'roller coaster-ing' , it gets worst in the night ......

Durian, I still cannot accept you

My hub & I love eating durian. The last time I had durian was during my 3rd trimester when having Amos. People are telling me that I could try eating some durian ( good source of protein), the baby will be chubby looking. Anyway, durian is one of my fav fruit & it is a good excuse to eat it during those times.... YuMmy YuMmy.....

All along, Zac is quite fussy about his choice of food. Besides not wanting to drink milk (read post here), durian is also one of his enemy. My hub bought 3 durian for S$20 the other day, Zac politely ask to try some. I was surprised by his request. I thought maybe his taste bud had changed over the years. But after a few bites, I think he still cannot accept the fruit. Look at his expression..... LOL :)

My Feedburner UP & running now

Managed to subscribe successfully to feedburner ONLY yesterday. Why I say yesterday bcos I ever tried doing it abt a month ago but the website generated errors everything I load the page. So I GAVE UP. Bobby's question to me "Janice, how come you don't have a feedburner account?" led me to do the whole process once again. Glad to say, this time with success :)

Mama, I'm HERE !!

Little Amos played a small 'game' with me this morning. He closed the cover of his stroller & pretend to sleep. As I went closer to check on him. He 'woke up', uncover himself & GIVE ME A SURPRISE SMILE. It is just so FUN seeing him, laughing away with his little tricks. He just brightened up my DAY ......*hug*

Again, tagged by HipMommy on the 8 random facts about me (I've done this before but I will reveal another 8 random facts). There are 3 more person who have tagged me for the last 2 weeks, I am sorry that I have forgotten who & having a hard time locating those posts. I should have done the tag upon receiving them. Please accept my sincere apology.

I will do the 6 werid things or facts about me :

1) I used to have the habit of sticking out my tongue to wet my lips. I didn't know that I have this habit until one of the staff at my vocational training job pointed to me. I have since kicked this bad habit away.
2) I have to wash my hair everyday. I will feel uncomfy & cannot get to sleep without getting them all washed & dried.
3) When I am young, I have the tendency to eat 'gold' dig from our nose. (understand what I mean? Still don't get it. Dig your nose now & see what you get, ok... now eat them !!) The thought of it now really makes me wonder what is getting through my mind back then. Really disgusted!!
4) I am a water 'reservior', I drink so much water until I am reminded that I have to bring my own water when visiting friends. I finished up all their boiled water at home..... LOL
5) I sleep "talk" many times when I am young. I will keep repeating to my mum that "I WANT A BIG BIG BED". Apparently, I have a single bed for myself. I don't know why I still need a BIG BIG BED ;)
6) I cannot miss my breakfast, I will feel weak all over. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for me. My stomach will start to protest if food are not loaded. I dislike the "sound" of hunger especially attending morning meetings in office. You can imagine how embarrassing.

Now, the pre-assigned 10 things that I HATE.
here comes the qns :

1. Food I hate. If there is a choice, I will not choose to have lamb or duck meat.
2. Fruit I hate. Pineapple. I cant stand the numbness on the tongue after taking the fruit. You will never find pineapples in our fridge
3. Veggies I hate. I like all sorts of vege, but if I were to choose... I don't really like brocolli & cauliflower. I prefer greens.
4. Celebrities/People that I hate. None in particular. I admire them being a celebrity
5. Event/Situation/Incident that i hate . I get all worried when I am getting in line for the cashier when my boy goes screaming for the toilet, this applies to an overcrowded lift or public transport. I am very bad at handling such an awkward situation.
6. TV shows/movies that I hate. Narrating shows/movies puts me off. I want to feel enjoyable over at the movie, the thought of listening to those long conversations makes me headache. I cant take horror shows too. That I mean horror like 'The Ring", this is one horror show that keeps me thinking of the scene for a month. The scene where the ghost came out from the TV. Oh my, I'm having shivers again.....
7. Music I hate. Rap
8. Household chores that I hate. Ironing clothes. I am clever to get clothes that are creases free..... LOL
9. Things that you hate around the world. Smokers, child abuse, greed
10. Things that you have about yourself. I'm a very emotional person. I can literally cry over a drama show when my hub is laughing over it.

The 8 random facts about me :

1) I am actually not a very sociable person but people thinks likewise. I am never good at mingling with people.
2) I will have VERY red sore lips if I don't get adequate sleep for consecutive days.
3) I started wearing glasses when I am 9 yrs old. Thankful to the person who invented contact lens that I can do away with the glasses.
4) I feel uncomfortable w/o my mobile phone with me. I have to bring my phone with me even when I visit the washroom at home.
5) The 18 hours of labour giving birth to Zac is the most torturing experience in my whole life. I will never want to have that experience again.
6) I am scalded by the motorcycle exhaust pipe before. This leaves me in much pain & torture. The scare has since recover.
7) I am scare of cats & dogs. I will never touch them unless they are really adorable & they have no 'evil' intentions.

Something for you to think about your life...

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to hot coffee. When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eyeing each other's cups. Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change. Some times, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it."
