Amos unique sleeping position ...

Amos woke up and cried for his auntie last weekend while taking a nap. After that he dozed off again but in an uneasy sleeping position with head facing down. He was so funny!!

I showed the picture to him the next day and told him that was how he slept the day before. He cannot help laughing and kept asking me, "how come I sleep like that???" hahaha :D

he only maintain in that position for a while cos I turned him over shortly!!

MahJong Lovers ... ....

For mahjong players out there, I think it is a familiar word we hear when we wanna "eat" tiles from the player before you.

However, the following mahjong tiles you see below are really meant to be eaten.
They are made of white & dark chocolate. Hubs bought them from HK !! :)
I found "Fa Cai", "Ba Tong" & "Ba Wan" in the packaging :):)~~~~

Mummy loves me this I know ... ...

The boys made those arts in school today in celebration of Mother's Day.
Zac's flower comes with a very nice poem that goes :

Mummy loves me this I know,
Everyday she tells me so.
On this very special day,
I have only this to say.
I love you Mummy,
I love you Mummy,
I love you Mummy,
You mean the world to me
.

Amos flower was very creatively done, it was cut out from his hand print & folded to make the petals for the flower :):)

Thanks kiddos, mummy loves all your art pieces. muackkkkkssss !! :):)

Happy Mother's Day to all Mummies out there ... ...

Our home in need of maintenance ...

I bought so much toiletries & cosmetics from the recent TBS that they are flooding my washroom now. I have been thinking of container storage to keep my vanity organized so that cleaning will be a breeze for me.

During our recent spring cleaning, I realized that there are so much hair & dirt still stuck on the carpet. I told hubby that it could be time for us to change our 5 yrs old vacuum to those steamer type which I heard are more effective in removing mold and dust mites. You see, we have been staying at our current home for more than 5 yrs and many of our electrical appliances are starting to malfunction. Our washing machine has been working hard for us all these years. Recently, it will stop in the midst of washing & show an "E" (error!!) on the display. My helper also noted that the laundry are not tumbled dry effectively & the washed clothes still dusty. A top load washer is what I prefered but on the other hand, a front load will enable us to stack our dryer on top and save huge amount of space on our relatively small kitchen. These are some of the items that we need to purchase urgently for our home.

Our climate is so humid that white mold are found on most of our wooden furniture. Can you imagine that we actually get a de-humidifier for our store room just for that purpose. LOL!! :)

WW : My little Mr Cool ... ...

My helper bought the funky glasses for Amos a few weeks ago after his persistent request. No wonder he likes his "Auntie" (helper) so much cos she dotes on him !!
This morning I saw him wearing it & sat down in a stylo position. See his hand on his leg & acting cool? haha... I try to make him laugh but he just remain silent !!

Oh well, that's my little Mr Cool... ... :):)

The boys are trying out chinese medicine

My boys are so prone to flu & cough that many friends advised me to bring them to see chinese physician and let them try "zhong yao" (chinese medicine).

I happened to go to this medicine hall at Rivervale Plaza to stock up the milk powder for Amos. One of the staff there happened to be a chinese physician. He checked Amos' pulse and asked me if Amos is someone who pespire very little. Its true, Amos doesn't sweat as much compared to Zac. He examined the boys & concluded that Amos has a weak lung & Zac's "zhong qi bu zhu".
He wrote the prescription for me & instructed me to pass this to any medicine hall when I'm ready to let the boys try the chinese medicine. I thought since I'm already there as well get from his shop. According to the physician, the boy's body will be significantly improved after consuming the prescribed herbs daily for abt 1.5 mths. Just a tiny scoop to be added to milk powder for the boys to consume. It cost S$229 for the 2 bottles.

The boys started taking it yesterday. Zac realized the slight bitter taste in his fresh milk but still finished it cos I told him the mixture will make him stronger :):)

Let's see if it works after 1.5 mths ... ... ;)

right : the grinded herbs in bottled form which comprised of 7 & 9 herbs for Amos & Zac respectively.
left : the prescription for my future reference

Do Re Mi ... ...

My 4th sis gave me her old keyboard since her boy has upgraded to playing on the piano.
She warned me that the adapter was missing & that I have to get it myself.
I went to Yamaha & got it at S$40 (rather ex!!).
Amos is so excited with his new musical instrument. Can you believe that he knows how to power on everything & meddle with those buttons as though really know how to play? hehe ;p

What's missing now are the books for the boys to learn. I can teach them cos I've learnt piano before when I'm younger.

Thanks so much to my 4th for giving us the musical instrument. :):)

Amos' NEW personalised bag

I ordered the personalised bag for Amos a week ago. This was his belated 3rd birthday pressie given by his beloved auntie Molly. It was delivered via registered mail this morning. Amos was delighted to see his name sewn on it. He chose the design himself from a dozen of choices. I hope the bag can last him throughout his pre-school years since it looks durable & rather spacious ;)

Btw, here's how much it cost... ...
$32 + $5 (personalisation) + $1.50 (postage) + $2.25 (registered mail) = $40.75
If you are keen, you may want to check out their website.

Happy Birthday to Me !!

I cant believe another year passed !! I'm really into my prime age now. LOL :):)

I would like to say "Thank You" to friends who greeted me over at my Facebook.
Robert Ng, Rachel, Jayne Han, Kevin Chong, Pauline Ong, Girlie, Jenny How, Juliana RW, Enchie, Blur Ting, Darlene, Audrey, Jenny Ho, Michelle Tan, Jane Chan, Dailys Liao, Angeline Foong, Amel, Chee How, Trinity, Moon, ECL, Michelle Lay, Wendy, Serene Teo, Veronica Koh, Sook Fung, Peck Yen, LZ Mommy !!

Amos made the card in school yesterday & he rushed to give to me the moment he reached home. So sweet !! I will treat it as his birthday card for me. *blush*

Zac drew the below for me. He wrote on the cover " Happy Birthday to my mummy" & a pic of me holding a flower. Awwwwww.....

On the inside of the card he wrote again
"My dear Janice,
I have dear Amos Ong
I am a boy"

On the next page, he drew a picture of a heart with Amos & my name on it.

hahahahaha.... so sweet of him to include Amos in the card. I ask him what he meant by those words. He said that mummy has Amos & me (refering to himself). LOL :D:D:D

I went for supper at Newton Circus with my good friends last Saturday after a late night movie to celebrate my birthday. Its been such a long time since I last dine at Newton Circus. Its a pleasure eating those sinful food you see below. I'm feeling hungry now looking at it. hehe :)~~~~

Fry Egg???

My first venture to "fry egg" in a restaurant yesterday.

By the way, this is no ordinary egg !!

It is actually an ice-cream "egg" which I have created out of durian flavour ice-cream (for the egg yolk) & vanilla (for the white) !! So creative right? ;p

This is something extra ... ...for additional S$2, you get to make your own ice-cream from their generous varieties of flavour & toppings !! WOW !!

Yuki Yaki at Marina Square is a 3-in-1 buffet offering Steamboat, Teppanyaki & Ice-Cream (optional), totally new dining concept.

The tables are really spacious. It is equipped with two in-built stoves for steamboat and teppanyaki. Those who loves dessert will applause to the idea of self made ice-cream. The teppanyaki pan is thoroughly cleansed by the service staff and the thermostat adjusted to a cold temperature, ready for ice cream making. That's a cool way to end a satisfying meal :):)

Amos FIRST dental check up !!

We passed by a free dental check up roadshow by the Health Promotion Board last week.

Zac has no problem visiting the dentist so long as we bring him to those oral surgeons that are patient & gentle to children.
I've got a bit of problem getting Amos to visit the dentist regularly.
However, I was totally surprised that Amos actually open his glorious 'smile' to the lady oral surgeon at the roadshow. As you can see from the photo. Amos is really nervous while waiting for his turn. Initially, I have to carry him while he is being checked. Later, I slowly put him down on the chair alone. YAY !! Amos made it for his first dental check up.
At the moment, not much issue for him except that I have to take note to brush his molar teeth properly.

These are the HAPPY BRUSHES recommended by the Heath Promotion Board. The 3 way brushing saves time especially when brushing little tots teeth. I find it really useful so bought home a dozen. It costs S$2.50 each & free 2 with every 10 pieces)

I immediately used it on the boys that night. I can see that the boys teeth are more thoroughly cleaned using it. Such a good deal !! :):)
