Today marked the 100th day my late brother passed away. We'll be having a prayer at the temple in the morning.
I just wonder how he is doing over at heaven? How's life there? I close my eyes & I can see him in my thoughts, he is smiling at me. I would like to think that he is much happier & peaceful now.

Bought this cabinet from Ikea just to put the kid's toy. This picture was taken last year when the cabinet was assembled & toys & books neatly organized.
Its been more than half a year now...
So difficult to get everything tidied up..... I'm busy packing it & the boys are busy messing it up again !!
It is very disorganized now with missing toys, books.... no where be found. How I wish the cabinet is once tidy & clean again !! :)

The reason is bcos...
I am SICK !!
In fact, whole family is sick :(
It started off with Amos about 2 weeks ago (fever, cough, flu), then spread to Zac (fever, cough, flu). After that, I experienced extreme headache & whole body aching. I've got gastric flu, its so torturing & feeling so weak ...
Zac had recovered but Amos is still having cough. His cough is so bad that he vomitted thrice on last Fri night. My helper became ill the next day too, possibly inhaling too much of the vomit from Amos. Hubs also feeling chills all the while, he is down too !!
They were just back from the clinic. Can you imagine the medical bill is around S$600+ for all over 2 months?
Just when I thought I'm getting better from the gastric flu, I think I'm affected by the constant coughing back at my home. My throat is getting drier & I can sense that I'm having sore throat soon...
Its not good having everyone sick at the same time. Let alone taking care of the boys when they are sick. Its worst now when the adults are also sick at the same time.
Haiz, everything is upside down over at my end now. Hope everyone can be strong & healthy once again.

We all carry our mobile phones with names and numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.
The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as "ICE."
P/S:Amos has been attending nursery school for a week now.
He is coping much better than I have expected.

Finally the class door opened. Amos went in, took of his own shoes & placed them neatly on the shoe rack, such a smart little boy. After that, he went into the class & sat down on the mat & start to mingle with his friends. Apparently, he is the youngest in the class but he is not shy at all. He is doing fine without mummy around. My little boy has grown ... ... :).jpg)
Before you stand jumping to conclusion from the title ... ...
The new member is none other than this turtle, it is rather huge with long nails on its front paws. How on earth could I have possible get such a mighty one when small turtle are relatively cuter and easier to maintain.
Its all fated... whether you believe it or not!! This turtle actually appear at my corridor on Wednesday afternoon when my neighbour knocked on my door if I have a turtle that escaped from my house.... LOL :)
Seeing the lonesome creature moving slowly along the dirty corridor looking so helpless, aparently lost. I get my maid to bring it in, get it washed & gave it some cabbages :)
When the 2 boys were back from school, they were delighted to see it.. Amos wanted to catch the turtle. Zac kept shouting to me that the turtle attempted to reach over the pail to crawl out. They were just too ecstatic cos this being the first time we had a pet in the house.
I have to get a proper house for the turtle & create a living environment for it.

My 4th sis happened to have free tickets to Science Centre end of last year.
Its been so long since I last visited the place. Its the first time for the boys though, most of the attractions there were way too comprehensive for them to decipher at this moment. My main purpose is to bring them to the WaterWorks Exhibition for some water fun. The moment I reached the venue. I was so disappointed. See the notice there?
It read :
Dear Visitor, due to a technical fault, Waterworks Exhibition will be closed until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Thank You.
Completely disappointed....Brought all the necessities for the 2 boys & they cant enjoy the fun. Consider a good sunny day for December for outdoor fun .... arrrgghhhhh :(
Luckily, its the first time there for the boys so they still do not know that there is such a fun water splash area. Or else, sure will make a fuss... hehe ;p
On the right is the Science Time Capsule to be opened in the year 2011. It contains science & tech artifacts from the year 1973, 1983 & 2001.

Zac went around to try on all the exhibits. He was jumping with joy while turning the lever at the exhibits for the primary school :)

Lastly, had dinner at the Mcdonalds....
The outlet displayed an incredible collection of their passed collectibles. I saw one of the Fries collectible series (3rd row from the left) that I wanted badly for Zac the last time when he was young. What happen was that, when he was about 1 yr+, bringing him out for meals was a challenge, he refused to sit still unless have fries on the table. So every time I had to purchase a packet of fries will he sit still. That was how the thought of getting the Fries toy came about to distract him !!
It was a tiring day walking through all the exhibits.
The boys as usual.... doZzzzzed off on the way home.... :)
I was craving for roti prata & you tiao (click on links for explanation) recently. For the latter, I cant get any stall selling it near to my house. So happened that I saw a stall at Vivo City Republic Foodcourt with just that & serving with soya bean curd & soya bean milk drink..jpg)
This is the fried you tiao from Vivo. Sorry for the poor quality cos I took the pic discreetly using my HP. Some foodcourt doesn't allow photos to be taken. keke ;p
For the price of 80 cents, consider on the expensive side when we could get it at around 40-60 cents at hawker centers. However, I think its value for money... it was a mighty one, much bigger than those I had eaten before. Fried on the spot to a golden brown & extremely crispy.... aww... I'm missing the crunch now even when I write this. Yum yum ;)~~~~
I actually prefer to eat you tiao with my favourite coffee instead of soya bean milk :)
Above is a typical breakfast I had at home on weekends. Home made roti prata served with chicken curry & coffee.
The roti prata you see are of different size bcos they were from 2 brands of prata. The bigger piece below was onion flavour from Spring Home. The small one on top was plain prata from Chinatown brand. Personally, I think I prefer the Chinatown brand bcos of the right size, looks more palatable, its crispy too !! :)
For the chicken curry sauce, we have tried a lot of brands too. The one that I like "Rasaku" seems not easily avaiable nowdays. They only have the mixture for Chicken Rendang & not chicken curry. I had a hard time looking for it. The curry you see in the pic is from "Orient Of the Spice".... super oily & diluted (NOT nice!!), as though drinking oil glands.... LOL :)
Ended up, I just had prata on its on with the chicken & potato. It tasted just as fabulous that way.
School re-opened for 2008 yesterday ...
Its the first time Amos attending playgroup. He is 22 mths old.
I think I am more excited than him. Worried that he may not be able to adapt to the new environment without us. This was bcos Zac cried so much when he first attended his playgroup at 20mths old, nearly 3 yrs ago. He was crying inside the school while I am sobbing outside looking at him though the window. Its just so hard to bear ... ...

Satisfied with the things inside, he put them back again & carried the bag in his hands & 'cat walk' around the living room... LOL :D
Amos looked like a matured little boy in that attire ;p
He cried a bit while in school bcos he refused to return his water bottle back to the shelf after drinking. He can be very stubborn at times, teacher told my maid that he held on to the water bottle throughout.... that's so FUNNY !! :D:D:D:D
Next... Zac... I only managed to take pics of him when he returned from school. He is K1 this year :)

Zac missed his friends. He told me he is delighted to be back to school to meet his friends. So coincident that he had the same teacher that taught him during nursery. Some of his former classmates were in the same class as him. Most importantly, his best friend can be his buddy once again. YAY !! They are in the same class :)
It was a hectic day for me & my maid cos need to prepare the 2 kids for school & its of different timings. Glad that everything went on smoothly... ... :)
